Meghan Shah is an artist and teacher living in New Haven, Connecticut. She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013 with a studio art degree in printmaking. She divides her time between teaching art at a magnet school, spending time in the studio, working at a letterpress studio, and finding new destinations to travel to in order to create new imagery for her work.
Leading to a moment through a path. Finding the movement and energy in a moment. Finding the right layers to work through a surface. Using a process based on chance but a balanced intention is how the materials come to fruition. The result ends up in the form of an image. Once a direction is established, a new series of work has been started. The uniting thread has been rooted in memories of past experiences in India. They will always start and end there with a sprinkle of other destinations. The story is known to the creator and left to interpretation for the audience.
